About this project

A range of one-off vessels fired using the ancient traditional Obvara technique of Eastern Europe. Also known as Sourdough firings. The hot pots are dunked fresh from the kiln into a vat of fermented brew to achieve their characteristic colour and pattern.

Hand built enclosed forms. Fired using the traditional Obvara technique from the Baltic States. These pieces are 15cms x 15cms.

Obvara fired vessels, made by stretching a tube of textured clay and attaching this to a thrown base. 15cms tall.
