Patina

About this project

I have long been fascinated by the action of the elements on metal, especially in industrial settings.  I love working with and discovering the natural patinas which appear on metals after etching and through exposure to the air, but these are difficult to retain and preserve on wearable jewellery. Through a process of experimentation I have developed techniques to replicate this effect and produce long-lasting pieces through the use of etching, markmaking textural techniques and vitreous enamel
