'Oriental Dawn' Spatial Divide

About this project

‘Oriental Dawn’ the spacial divide and the driftwood sculpture ‘Oriental Truffle’ were created for the British Crafts In Japan : 12th - 23rd March 2007, sponsored by the Design Factory, the Arts Council and UKTI. Seventeen designers exhibited. The aim of the visit was to present an overview of the best contemporary British crafts, while enabling exhibitors to improve or develop relationships with Japan, network and generate opportunities.

The panels are monofilament, reed and enamelled copper on the front and chenille on the reverse, facilitating quite a different atmosphere from one side to the other.

'Oriental Truffle' Driftwood Sculpture

'Oriental Truffle' was also made for the British Crafts in Japan exhibition March 2007. Sculpture has integrated metal weaving. Height 93 cm. Materials: New Zealand Driftwood, monofilament, enamelled copper.
