About this project

Kat Evans collects, or is given, combustible materials including wood shavings, seed heads and coffee grounds.
White hot sculptures are removed from the raku kiln and immediately brought into contact with this detritus.
Work which survives the thermal shock is cleaned and polished.
The final sculptures provoke consideration of their individual journeys and narratives.
