This series of mosaic trees evolved from 1930s graphic design, with the elongated style and pared back outlines. The bases of the trees are designed as a carpet of tiles, as if the petals had fallen to the ground below. This creates a textural contrast to the flatter leaf areas. Movement is introduced through handcut tiles in small leaf shapes, curling across the baseboard. The wall panels are complimented by a series of varying sized garden stakes, creating focal points in a garden borders.
