FREEHAND

About this project

‘Freehand’ takes the craft of gold finishing, which is more commonly used in booking binding, and translates it into the context of jewellery.

Using traditional finishing tools, lines and dots in gold are applied one by one in a dynamic, freehand manner.

The patterns are applied to the necklaces before they are cut and opened up to fit the body which shifts straight rigid blocks into sweeping shapes.
