Ceremonial mace
Commissioned by South Devon College. The mace head consists of three pewter and acrylic panels surrounding a patinated pewter sphere, suspended on a brass rod. On each panel is an initial of SDC. (South Devon College). The 3 panels are symbolic of hands cupping to nurture and protect as well as the 3 towns of Torbay - Paignton - Torquay - Brixham. The central sphere represents the world of learning etched with the Torbay coastline and a diamond locating the site of the college in the bay. The green light emitting acrylic edges represent the colours of HE at South Devon College and symbolic of enlightenment, culminating in the top finial - a beacon to learning
Symbols of Alchemy
Golden patinated pewter neck piece. The form represents the academical symbols for tin; antimony and copper which together make the alloy pewter. Set with amethyst and zircon with coloured silver gilding.
Waterlilies garden feature

Cast pewter and ceramic lily pads. The lilies measure between 30cms and 60cms and can be set into the ground or sited in a water feature such as a pond. The colours are informed by water and those subtle hues of the waterlily flower. The aim is for water to collect in the ceramic bowl, attracting wildlife. This garden feature can be commissioned as a set of 3 or individual lily pads. Colours can be adapted to client’s personal preferences.
