Sophie Cornish is a multidisciplinary artist and maker, whose practice is informed by material investigation and ludic design processes. Observing and interpreting things and ideas to hand, and pushing them beyond familiar contexts. She combines new and old media, modelling both by hand and in tandem with digital and industrial tools. This creates a dialogue between abstract and concrete ideas about making, information and manual skill, and the resistance of things to be manipulated.
