The marketplace and audience for craft is growing and changing at an unprecedented pace – Craft is no longer a ‘moment’ but a seismic trend and thoughtful investment in crafted objects speaks of our recognition and responsibility to buy well.
Crafts Council’s Creative Director, Natalie Melton, brings together diverse speakers from across the full breadth of the craft market, to discuss how and where craft is being purchased, why and what they are buying, and who these consumers are. Through sharing of experiences we can start to explore how a rich understanding of changing patterns of consumption can enable the market to adopt strategies that will develop the collectors of the future. Speakers include interior designer Kit Kemp, Isobelle Boltt from Artsy, Sophie Rochester of Yodomo and arts advisor Ben Williams.
This talk is part of Collect: International Art Fair for Modern Craft and Design which is on from 27 February - 1 March 2020. See all Collect talks here.
