Crafting Narrative: Storytelling through objects and making
Crafting Narrative explores how contemporary designers and makers use objects as mediums to tell stories. The exhibition will focus on practitioners who challenge and investigate the narrative potential of objects and making to convey and reflect on themes as diverse as history, culture, society and technology.
New and commissioned works will be shown alongside film, text, illustration and photography, highlighting how objects can be used as affecting and compelling narrative forms.
Featuring works by Åbäke, AugerLoizeau with Alan Murray, Carl Clerkin, Martino Gamper, El Ultimo Grito, Zhenhan Hao, Hilda Hellström, Hefin Jones, Onkar Kular, Noam Toran and Dawn Youll with new commissions by Cecilie Gravesen and Dash Macdonald.
Crafting Narrative is a Crafts Council Touring Exhibition, guest curated by Onkar Kular.
Curator Onkar Kular will be presenting a curator tour of the exhibition on 18 October, 2pm at Pitzhanger Manor House & Gallery
