A FREE one-hour ‘fun’ potter’s wheel taster experience for up to 4 potters per session.
This is a chance for aspiring potters to have a little go on a potter’s wheel. The session will start with a demonstration of how to centre the clay on the wheel and how to then make a simple wheel thrown pot.
Then with a bit of help each potter will have a go to make their own small pot. This pot can be taken home at the end of the session. If however the potters wish to have their pot glazed and fired so that it is food safe, then this can be done for a small fee of £4 to cover the glaze and kiln running costs.
It is best to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty however aprons will be provided. Short finger nails are also easier to throw a pot with.
Individuals and Families with children over the age of 7. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.
