In the studio I use plaster moulds for pressing, coiling and dishes which makes pottery so simple anyone can produce a good piece, the skill comes in the decorating. These moulds are also used to support sculptural pieces, making them easier and quicker to make for beginners.
Throwing always looks so simple on the potter's wheel, when you see a potter at work. On Sunday I will give one hour sessions on a one-to-one basis. You will be surprised at what you can do.
To make a finished pot I am allowing 2 short 1/2 day sessions on Friday and Saturday to allow clay to stiffen
Friday 17 May:
Group A first session: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Group B first session: 2.30 - 4.30pm
Saturday 18 May:
Group A second session: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Group B second session: 2.30 - 4.30pm
