Open Call The Amelia Scott Building: Exterior Brickwork Artwork

Deadline: 25 January

Commissions

Description

The Amelia Scott, Tunbridge Wells invites proposals for a permanent Exterior Brick Artwork to be situated within the external ‘Curated Courtyard’ in preparation for the reopening of the building due in spring 2022. From kilns and peg tiles to the Pantiles and terraced Victorian houses and streets throughout the borough, the clay of the local land has enabled the production of some of the finest brickwork in England. This commission will be inspired by bricks and tiles - these iconic, sometimes unique, and often overlooked items of the borough’s heritage and history. There is a total project budget of £12,000 to cover fee, production, construction, delivery and installation.

How to Apply

Candidates will need to register on The Amelia's portal by 18 January before they can apply. Full information and details of how to apply can be found are: www.theamelia.co.uk/whilst-were-being-built/commissions

Deadline for applications: 25 January
