We are looking to recruit a Creative Facilitator to help deliver Blackhorse Responders in Walthamstow. Funded by the Mayor of London, Blackhorse Responders is a bold project empowering young people to respond creatively to life in their community. Through 6 months of weekly creative workshops that vary between shaping wood, metal, printmaking, photography or public events, Blackhorse Responders is a project that blends thinking and practice, inspiring the public to change their attitudes, come together, and recognise the power young people have to inspire positivity. The role is responsible for co-leading the delivery of creative activities for young people from the local community alongside the Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to shape this inaugural creative social change programme, working in a lively environment at Blackhorse Workshop. We encourage applications from all sections of the community and in particular those from diverse and under represented backgrounds including BAME.
We require that applicants have facilitation experience and an interest in making practice which they can bring to the role.
Dates and Salary: This is a fixed term contract for the following dates: Thursday 27th February – Saturday 8th August 2020 - Thursdays: 1.30pm – 7pm (Thursday workshop delivery: 4.30pm – 6.30pm) - Saturdays: 10:30 – 5:30pm (Saturday workshop delivery: 11 – 5pm) - We anticipate approx. 6 Saturday workshops in the 6 month period.
Salary: £75 per Thursday, £95 per Saturday to be invoiced to Blackhorse Workshop
Hours: 5.5 hours per Thursday, 7 hours per Saturday
