After many brilliant years as Editor of “Glass Network” , Milly Frances has decided to step down to give someone else the opportunity to experience the excitement and challenges of producing this beautiful CGS publications which comes out 4 times a year.
The Board of Trustees is currently looking at the continuing viability of producing this publication basically because of the costs of production and postage plus the environmental impact of its paper based production. It may well be that we produce an entirely online publication or 2 online and 2 paper based publications a year or online magazines plus an annual showcase paper based publication. Regardless of which route we go down, we need an Editor to decide upon the path that the publication will take and to also co-ordinate and compile the content.
This is your opportunity to be part of the discussion on how the magazine progresses and in what format. You could herald in a new age of imparting information to other CGS members and artists around the world. The Editorship gives you the chance to attend a range of glass exhibitions and events which are funded as part of your role. This is also a paid position and we hope to have a new Editor in place by June so that you can work alongside Milly on the publication of the September edition of the magazine.
