We are looking for an experienced Technician with experience of jewellery sector to join the workshop to provide coordination and support to our highly skilled Bench Jeweller tutors and learners. You will support the Teaching and Learning team to achieve high quality and inspiring delivery to learners. The post holder will work closely with tutors and students on a daily basis and manage the tech office, workshop maintenance, tools and materials.
Key responsibilities and objectives of the job are:
•Resource guided learning sessions.
•Resource bench tests of applicants to the Academy.
•Respond to all enquiries and providing high standard information, advice and guidance to customers and learners.
•Contribute to policies and procedures that improve quality of service.
•Maintain and monitor consumables and equipment in the classrooms, workshops and CAD suite to ensure all learners are able to access a wide range materials and processes as part of their course provision.
•To maintain and monitor stock control/ inventory of all tools and materials.
•To assist tutors in the ordering of materials and equipment and preparing and processing purchase orders on approval from the Head of Teaching and Learning. •Liaising with finance department on the purchasing of tools and materials. •To monitor and report updates on tools and materials budgets. •Manage the financial reconciliation of Petty cash & filing of receipts.
•To maintain first aid kits and other first aid materials needed.
•To monitor the recording of accidents in the accidents record books across the sites.
