Culford Ceramics Studio consists of small group of early career ceramic artists based five-minute walk from Dalston Junction.
We are a developing studio model with plans to provide for a wider ceramics community by offering a kiln firing service for large work and short-term project (1 to 12 week) residency opportunities. Short-term studio guests will be selected through project proposals and be expected to be able to work with a degree of independence (although cost could allocate technical assistance if required). Short-term guest key holders are allocated a desk, access to the shared facilities, pre-arranged kiln space and have the opportunity to take part in studio events/exhibitions. Studio Facilities include a very large trolley kiln, small top loaders, racks for work to dry, a wheel and communal work areas. Large Kiln firing service: Prices are determined by size and cover loading and unloading (guest/artist is expected to be present during loading to advise), kiln programming, maintenance and electricity. Bookings are confirmed by advance payment. A firing takes three days to complete. Delivery and collection days and times are arranged upon booking.
