Collect 2020, Stand S5, South Wing

Intoart is an art and design studio based in London. Established in 2000 by co-founders Ella Ritchie and Sam Jones, the studio works with people with learning disabilities practising as artists to achieve equal recognition in the world of contemporary art, craft and design. The Intoart studio is a site of production for ambitious bodies of work by artists working in textiles, printmaking and ceramics.

For Collect 2020, Intoart presents ceramic works by Mawuena Kattah and her new collaboration with textile practitioner Laura Slater. Their new series of unique textile works embody a strong sense of pattern, mark-making and narrative found in family and personal iconography culminating in large-scale, hand screen-printed linen works.
