You can directly help bring joy and creativity into the homes of thousands of children across the country, at a time when this is more needed than ever.

This year's events have pushed even more families to the brink. When for so many putting food on the table each day is a real challenge, buying crayons and paper for a child to play with can be an unaffordable luxury.

Right now, hundreds of thousands of children do not have access to basic art materials to support their creativity, learning and wellbeing at home.

That’s why the Crafts Council is getting art activity packs to kids all over the country, through the Let’s Craft appeal.

Arts and crafts gave me something to do as a kid, but it also provided me with the problem-solving and communication skills that I have today.

Bec Hill, Let's Craft ambassador and presenter of new CITV craft series Makeaway Takeaway

Let’s Craft packs are for primary and secondary school-aged children most in need of support, such as those who are eligible for free school meals. Distributed by a network of community hubs and food banks, each pack contains art supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, crayons and a scrapbook, as well as an activity book designed by Andria Zafirakou, art teacher and winner of the 2018 Global Teacher Prize.

Thanks to our donors and partners we have been able to reach thousands of children. With your help, we want to raise at least £100,000, to get 10,000 packs distributed.

How you can help

A £10 donation pays for one Let’s Craft pack. You can help us buy one or as many packs as you wish!

Your donation will go straight to purchase packs to be delivered to children in need.

To donate £10 text CRAFT to 70085 or donate online.
