Arts Award Supporter Resource:
We've put together a fab resource showing you all of the different ways Crafts Council can help you acheive your Arts Award at any level. From visiting our touring exhibitions to putting on your very own Craft Club, find out how Crafts Council can support your Arts Award journey here:
Made from Scratch:
This year, we're piloting our Made from Scratch after school club programme in two schools in different parts of the UK. This eight-month pilot program will take a group of Key Stage 4 students through their Silver Arts Award by connecting them to the makers, materials and creative places that make the UK craft community so vibrant. At the end of the program, young people will have learned how to work with new materials and processes; will have gained transferrable leadership and project planning skills as well as a knowledge of careers and opportunities in the craft and design sector.
Young Craft Citizens:
Young Craft Citizens is Crafts Council's youth collective for London-based young people aged 16-25 who are passionate about craft and making. Through youth-led events, guided tours and talks and regular meetings, there's lots of opportunity for you to build your Arts Award portfolio with us from Discover to Gold Award. If you'd like to join the group, or are interested in taking your Arts Award with us, please email email@example.com
Make Your Future:
Make Your Future is Crafts Council's flagship education programme bringing together Higher Education Institutions, cultural partners, secondary schools, and makers to reignite a passion for making in schools and tackle some of the challenges faced by craft education. During the programme, Key Stage 3 students work with professional makers in school hours to complete their Bronze Arts Award.
