Hey Clay event. Photo by Iona Wolff

Craft and creativity have been championed as a powerful tool for boosting mental health and wellbeing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with many people discovering a new passion for making during lockdown.

While the need has never been greater, deepening inequalities, the isolation of vulnerable people and ongoing social distancing present challenges for practitioners delivering craft projects with communities.

Join Crafts Council for an online workshop exploring Craft Participation for a New Landscape, asking:

- What does co-creation and community participation look like in the age of COVID-19?

- How can we build an anti-racist framework for craft participation in order to meet the needs of all communities?

The workshop will be facilitated by Dee Halligan (From Now On) and Rose Sinclair (Goldsmiths, University of London)and will include case studies from this year’s Make:Shift:Do programme, contributions from invited speakers and plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking.
