If you are a craft teacher, maker or creative professional, come along to our next CPD Workshop on 21 October from 3.30-5.15pm.
Get to know the Crafts Council’s rich history of advocacy for craft in classrooms through a series of practical sessions and discussions. Taking place online via Zoom, the talk content will include information on the Crafts Council Collections, aspirations for the future and a practical reflection on making practice in the classroom.
Over the course of the CPD session, we will hear from curatorial experts on the use of objects for learning and developing practice on curriculums that represent global majority groups and experiences. We'll also explore how craft makers bring ideas to life.
We are offering this event as part of our specialist CPD programme for the national school's competition Craft School: Yinka's Challenge. The challenge has been designed in collaboration with craft superstar Yinka Ilori and will focus on three vital themes; Play, Storytelling and Empowerment. This is an open event that is suitable for all craft teachers and maker educators working with Key Stages 1-4.
