Kate Bajic

Loughborough, Leicestershire

jewellery, precious metals, porcelain

£100 — £3000

Drawing on interests in both natural form and science Kate focuses on lichen species and their chemical components as the main inspiration for her work. Each piece of jewellery often has a hidden meaning or function incorporated through the subtle use of chemical compound structures which relate to the lichen and their function in the wider world. Kate blends a variety of materials in her work including porcelain, silver, steel & felt. Pieces are created as one offs or in small batches.
