Sue Stone is a UK based artist/maker who studied Fashion at St Martins School of Art, and then Embroidery at Goldsmiths College in London. She is current Chair and exhibiting member of the 62 Group of Textile Artists and a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.

Sue’s most recent work has an emphasis on hand embroidery and is a personal examination of memory, identity, and relationships with self; the viewer is invited to view the partial narrative and draw their own conclusions.

‘From Grimsby to Greenpoint and Beyond’ has been selected for the 62 Group exhibition ‘Ctrl/Shift’ which will open at MAC, Birmingham on 21 July and runs until 9 September. The piece measures 175 x 123 cms when assembled.
