With a background in languages and a long career in translation, I transitioned to jewellery-making mostly through self-study and experimentation.
I create intuitively, combining influences from my environment with minimalist design, often contrasting calm and playfulness with the turbulence and chaos of modern times to highlight socio-political and global issues.
Using traditional skills, I work mainly in silver, adding to the narrative with colourful precious and non-precious materials.
I use eco-resin, made from the by-products of the chemical industry. It has a 35% reduced carbon footprint compared to other products suitable for the same purpose and does not contain any solvents or other volatile substances that cause environmental damage.
All my packaging is recycled, recyclable or re-usable. I gift-wrap only by special request, and re-use postal boxes and envelopes when available.
All gold used in my pieces is 100% recycled and I use 100% recycled silver where possible.
