Description
This information session, a partnership between Applied Arts Scotland and Heritage Crafts (HC), will focus on HC’s new Scotland Maker of the Year Award currently open for nominations, as well other grants and bursaries ring-fenced for heritage crafts in Scotland. Heritage Crafts is the UK charity set up to support, safeguard and celebrate traditional crafts skills.
As well as publishing the Red List of Endangered Crafts (the first UK research report to rank craft skills by the likelihood of their survival to the next generation), it has spent the last 15 years advocating for UK ratification of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was confirmed by the Westminster and Holyrood governments in December. As well as that, it provides a range of grants, awards and bursaries.
Once registered on Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
