These are places of quiet resilience and transformation—where remnants of past industries meet pockets of wildness, and where change is constant yet unnoticed. Through material, form, and process, the artists in Edgelands investigate themes of transition, memory, and reclamation. I stepped away from the work I’m known for, stoneware vessels using the clay as canvas. I’m interested in the scars left by human activity on the landscape and nature’s remarkable ability to recolonise the space as soon as it’s abandoned.
