I have graduated in Masters in glass from University for the creative arts, Farnham. I am originally from India and moved to England in 2015 for my studies. My work is in blown glass which have a social narrative behind it. I was doing diploma I stained glass back in India and that’s where I fell in love with this beautiful material. I then decided to further study in glass and joined the course at my University. I have never looked back after that.

Focus:
I make blown glass sculptures that have a social message behind it and that makes an impact in the community.

RBSA Prize Exhibition 2020

8 October – 21 November 2020

My work Blossom will be exhibited. It would be great if you could help promote my work. My work is based on issues concerning women. Women‘s freedom what I still find missing in the Indian culture that I come from. Since childhood, I have been suppressed on what to say, how to behave and even my career choices. I want every woman to be given that freedom to blossom the way I want instead of being taught on every small step. The work that I create reflects the courage and desire to blossom in my life and career and disregard the social pressure. The Black and white design on the work has been made by a technique called "Murrine" glass. It displays the people who try to suppress in life. The flower reflects the courage of a woman who, no matter what, will break through social opinions/judgement and soar high.
