Alice draws complex beauty from the simplest of forms to make elegant, contemporary jewellery with meticulous attention to detail. Her work is influenced by the cuts, folds & repetition used in paper art, & draws on lines, angles & repetitive shapes for inspiration. She grew up in London, studied at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, & now lives on the south coast in Brighton. Alice spent 10yrs working within the jewellery trade honing her skills before establishing her own company in 2014.

Alice Barnes Jewellery now at the British Museum

To coincide with their new Manga exhibition, the British Museum have chosen to stock pieces from the origami inspired Pleated Collection. The exhibition runs until the 26th August & the jewellery can be found in the Grenville Room gift shop.

KickStart Winner Alice Barnes Returns to IJL Trade Show

Having received the coveted KickStart Industry’s Choice Award at last year’s International Jewellery London, Alice is set to return to the show this September with new additions to her Pleated Collection. Visit her in the Design Gallery on stand P85.

UK Jewellery Awards Finalist 2019

Alice has been shortlisted as a 'One to Watch' finalist in the UK Jewellery Awards, 2019. The category celebrates emerging brands as well as those who have recently begun UK distribution, & the winner will be announced in July.
