TIN MINE CLAY

A project that used clay dug from two Penwith mines to make ceramics. The work took inspiration from Cornwall’s unique geology and tin mining heritage and coincided with the centennial of two events - the sinking of Victory shaft at Geevor Mine and the Levant mining disaster. A collaboration with Cornish artist Dominique Fuglistaller and archeologist Adam Sharpe. Exhibited at Geevor Mine Museum 2019.
