After taking a Geography degree from Sheffield University, I trained to become a potter at Harrow School of Art (now Westminster University) in 1984. I have worked to develop a range of ceramic sculptures that seek to capture the subtle and dramatic qualities of the natural world, without imitating it. My love of landscape, geology, archaeology in all weathers, shape the form and textures. Ancient methods of hand burnishing and smoke firing impart a timeless and contemplative quality.
