With more than 20 years of design and making experience, I draw upon a varied palette of high-quality sustainable materials in my work. This often includes combining hardwoods with metals, leather, and glass elements. Designs and commissions have been as small as a candle holder, as large as a staircase, or anything in between!Focus:I create bespoke furniture, products and installations which combine a diverse palette of materials including solid woods and metals.Commissions:Available for commissionsThe environmental sustainability of my work is of key importance. No composite materials or plastics are used in my products. The timbers I use are always FSC approved, which certifies that they are sourced from sustainably managed forestry. The metals are also readily and commonly recycled and recyclable. The finishes applied are derived from natural oils and not petrochemicals. Beyond this my furniture is built to last very many years and can be easily repaired or recycled if necessary.AboutAs founder of Black Pear Bespoke, my aim is to create unique design-driven furniture, products and installations that are simple, contemporary and beautifully detailed.
