Shift Canada

Beginning with a residency in Nova Scotia in October 2019, funded by Applied Arts Scotland, this project explores themes of identity, sustainability and collaboration. The collaborative process with quilt artist Andrea Tsang-Jackson was an important anchor for me during lockdown in 2020. The slow weaving of five metres of knotted pile fabric led to digital experimentation and the creation of a stop-motion animation. The work will be part of a touring exhibition in 2021.
