My Fine Art practice is centered around my deeply felt concerns with coastal erosion and rising sea levels. The ceaseless cycle of the natural elements embeds itself in my making both physically and emotionally. The process of layering, tearing and building with the clay bodies creates a visceral response in me which is both immediate and meditative. Celebrating imperfection and impermanence while feeling the need to connect with nature when the world often feels disconnected from it.
- Ceramics, film and photography expressing concerns with the precariousness of the human condition and the ecological fragility of the natural environment.
