I am Mexican jewellery designer with a passion for colour, graphic design and plastics. My fascination for plastics started in my childhood when my mother gave me a pair of lilac rubber shoes that smelled like bubble gum. At University I experimented with colourful acrylic sheet excited by its many possibilities. I am inspired by Mexican and International Folk Arts & Crafts and 1960s graphic design. I was recently commissioned by the V&A to produce a jewellery collection inspired by Frida Kahlo.
