Woven Ikat

This body of woven art works explores the ancient technique of ikat. Aiming to master the physical skill required to create an ikat fabric and to make something new and exciting. Wool and cotton warp yarns have been hand-dye using contrasting and unconventional colour combinations, often inspired by plant foliage and bird plumage.
