Discovering jewellery during her formative years, Pond studied at Berkshire and Loughborough Colleges of Art & Design, completing her MA at The School of Jewellery, Birmingham. She was awarded for her Narrative Jewellery Collection, winning the 2005 BDI Industry & Genius Awards For Products and Genius. Her work has been exhibited internationally, showcased in exhibitions and galleries to include Schmuck, Munich; the V&A, London; Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco and Atta Gallery, Bangkok.

Focus:
A storyteller and a poet, a collagist and an artist, Jo Pond creates bespoke Jewellery, thoughtfully curated, with a poetic sensibility and a strong narrative of the domestic.

Goldsmiths’ Fair, London. 24 September – 6 October 2020

Exhibiting as part of the Goldsmiths’ Fair which is recognised internationally as the premier UK showcase for contemporary jewellery and silver. It is the first ever digital only Goldsmiths’ Fair this autumn, 24 SEPT – 6 OCT 2020.

Stirred by a collection of diaries, bequeathed alongside hand-me-down stories, words and trinkets from a generation before, Jo Pond draws on evocative World War 2 artefacts to craft her own heirlooms.
