Windsor rocker

The Windsor rocker is a contemporary take on a traditional rocking chair. It is both inspired by and extends the possibilities of traditional Windsor chair-making techniques. The continuous band is made from four pieces of steam bent ash seamlessly scarfed together. The twenty five spindles flare out from the carved solid seat to the band such that their opposing angles produce an extremely rigid but light form.
