Pods
The Pods are one of my favourite things to make. They are thrown on the wheel, before being forcefully altered and moved around whilst the clay is still very wet and malleable. The process involves relinquishing control of the outcome, responding to the process rather than forcing the clay in an intentional way. It's this organic and unplanned element that gives each one its unique personality and movement, and offers both excitement and trepidation in the making process.
