Trained in sculpture, basket making and product design, I make baskets, furniture, and art using basketry skills and techniques and the found materials in my immediate environment. These materials, both man made and natural, that are usually considered in a consumerist society to be of no further interest, are the inspiration for whatever I make.

Focus:
Basketry in every way possible, as long as it is sustainable.

Enforced Sabbatical

01 May 2020

Like everyone else, any plans I had for the next few months have been put on hold or cancelled. So I am taking this opportunity to spend even more time in my studio, focus on creativity, think and write.

Weaving Master Class

22 June 2019

I will be teaching a one day workshop at Broadway gallery and Studio in Letchworth Herts, where Weaving Ghosts is currently on display. Students will explore different basketry techniques in combination with recycled and found materials.
