Jerwood Makers Prize
Louis was awarded one of the Jerwood Makers Prizes by the Jerwood Foundation in 2012 to complete new works. The first piece 'Hive' comprised of large scale blown glass components filled with water. The second piece 'You Reap What You Sow' combined water, glass, special UV lighting and uranium glass that glowed under the UV light. These compositions of large scale, sensuous and playful objects invited the viewer to question there expectations of function, materiality and reality.
