My work begins with a narrative to be explored. I investigate contemporary social issues and emotions that unite us all as individuals, aiming to communicate ideas by evoking feelings and memories in the viewer. Using hand - building techniques, I choose the clay and surface decoration that suits the intended qualities of the body of work and play with scale, colour and symbolism. My ideas sometimes evolve from objects that have histories, which are often then used as models for my work

sculptural and decorative work
