Based in Oxfordshire, Helen Slater’s artwork draws inspiration from the figurative and its perception¬†within changing environments.

Helen has recently embarked on a practice based research PhD in glass, at The Royal College of Art, in order to develop her practice further. Here she is researching ‘The Optical Perception of Image in Glass’ and the illusion of spatial and depth perception within this medium.

I am excited to be starting my final year of practical research, into glass, at the Royal College of Art this September. Of course there is still along way to go but I have learnt a lot, over the last 5 years, which I look forward to presenting.
