Maureen Hodge - Tapestry Artist

Tapestry artist

Edinburgh, Midlothian

tapestry, gobelin

My tapestry sets out to evoke and capture echoes and shadows from a past which can be real or imagined. It is about my personal territory within the European ring of stars. Hills, trees, skies - marks on the landscape formed across the centuries, carrying the changing history of a place, the round of the agricultural year. Within this continuing circle Territory/Home is ultimately where your dead are buried on, maps an ‘X’ marks the place - a cross either way.
