Sue Stone is a UK based artist/maker who studied Fashion at St Martins School of Art, and then Embroidery at Goldsmiths College in London. She is an exhibiting member ( former Chair 2013/18) of the 62 Group of Textile Artists and Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
Sue’s most recent work has an emphasis on hand embroidery and is a personal examination of memory, identity, and relationships with self; the viewer is invited to view the partial narrative and draw their own conclusions.

Re-Tellings is a solo exhibition by artist Sue Stone whose work has an emphasis on hand embroidery mixed with machine stitch and paint. The work is part of an ongoing series inspired by memories, both her own and other peoples.
