RICHARD TAYLOR FOUNDED RICHARD TAYLOR DESIGNS IN 1990 after a career involving the restoration and re-decoration of period properties and classic yachts had developed into an interest in interior design, decorative lighting and furniture. Richard Taylor and Michael Ruh met by coincidence at the ICFF show in NYC in 2005, they have been working together ever since.
Master woodworker Sebastian Cox was commissioned by Glenlivet to produce a whisky trolley. The aesthetic was inspired by malt barrows used to turn and transport malt in the distillery. He needed a bespoke, double-skinned glass bucket of specific proportions.
Lyn Harris, founder of the successful Miller Harris perfumery wanted to go ‘back to her roots’ and launch a new high-end perfumery. She approached Michael Ruh to assist with the design and production of hand-blown perfume bottles for a new line of bespoke fragrances. We were delighted to be of service and developed in collaboration with Lyn to create a signature bottle
A FORTNUM'S TRADITION for centuries the Michael Ruh Studio was delighted to be commissioned to design a glass bud vase for this world-renowned afternoon Tea Salon. The brief was that is should compliment Fortnum & Mason's signature pale green tea service. Responding to to the elegant and refined decor of the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon the studio crafted an ornamental classic form in a bespoke colour-way masterfully composed and hand blown by Michael Ruh.
