Autumn Roses, Commission for Aga Khan Centre Gallery 2021
Size 60 x 60 x 2cm hoop. Materials: gold thread, tulle fabric and a range of dried and preserved plants.
Created as a commission for the "Making Paradise" exhibition at the Aga Khan Centre Gallery in London. The rose was one the main flowers featured in works across the exhibition, and this was my interpretation. The symmetry of the design is inspired by oriental geometric patterns.
