Dive

Materials: Vulcan black fine stoneware clay, coloured slips, matt lacquer. Process: Hand-built vessel with sgraffito. Fired: 1220 Celsius. Dimensions: Approx. 28.5cm(h) x 20cm(w) x 37.5cm(l). 'Dive' is part of an ongoing project titled We Are Vessels, exploring the connectivity between physical experience, growth, and emotions; sometimes unified, and other times in conflict. Each piece has its own character, born out of a use of repeated sgraffito pattern, blended colour, and sculptural form.
