'Teazel' Loving Cup for The Worshipful Company of Clothworkers
A Loving Cup is a secular chalice, used at ceremonial dinners to celebrate the community of the Clothworkers Company. The cup must have multiple handles, to be passed along from person to person, and a lid. The Teazel seed-head, a symbol of the company, was the inspiration, with the spiky bracts forming the sculptural handles.
36cm/14.5" tall, Sterling silver, gilded interior.
