Landmarks-wild clay
I began using wild clay during my MA project as I investigated using foraged local materials. This clay is sourced at home from a pond, originally a clay pit where clay was used to form unfired bricks to build the house.
I first process the clay by sieving and then adjust to create a stronger, smoother body to build with. pieces are inlaid with porcelain, slips and oxides. Each piece has a slightly different hue depending on where they are placed in the kiln.
